Saving Someone's Life

I love Halloween! Not the candy or trick or treating so much, but the crafting and awesome stamps and images that come out during this time.

Many have grunge look and earthy colors that work so well with vintage cards!  VectoriaDesigns has some great printables that are so fun for Halloween!

I created this fun printable for the inside of my card. You can get it by clicking on the image below.

Happy Halloween

I stamped "Refrain from Killing" stamp from So Suzy Stamps onto the Blood Stained Labels. What is great about these labels is that they can be adjusted to any size, so they will fit all your sentiments!

I added a couple more printables, and some Halloween buttons as embellishments along with some stamped spiders and my card was finished.

These printables are great ways to put fun Halloween cards together quickly. They also work great on invitations! Be sure to check out So Suzy Stamps and VectoriaDesigns for your Halloween Crafting!

Designer Craft Connection and Deflecto Blog Hop

Welcome to our Celebration blog hop with deflecto and Designer Crafts Collection . We are excited to be sharing some fun projects that are great for Celebrations!

If you have come from Lorrie's page, then you are in the right place. If you want to start from the beginning, then you can begin over at the Designer Craft Collection page.

For my project, I am using the 5" x 7" Beveled frame along with the Sign Tag to create this Bridal Display.  I have attached the Sign Tag using the Versa Grip Wide Clip Sign Holder.

The sign holder works great with a wet erase pen, but is also very versatile. I used a stencil and texture paste to create this great sentiment that I attached to the frame.

I also added some fun rub ons to the frame.

Deflecto is offering up a 3 tier Dessert Stand along with some other goodies to one lucky winner (US and Canada only.) All you need to do is leave a comment on my blog and over on the Designer Craft Collection page where you can leave a comment and enter via the rafflecopter. This will enter you into a drawing to win.

Your next stop is Nadine. I am sure you will love what she has created!

Built from fire!

Hi everyone!  I am here today sharing an awesome stamp from So Suzy Stamps called "Built from Fire." I wanted to create a card that when one would look at it they thought of flames or fire.

I didn't really want to create flames, so instead I created a card that had melting candle wax...well not really, but I wanted it to look that way.

I used the Tim Holtz Stripes stencil and added some white texture paste. Once it was dry, I colored the paste using my distress crayons. I smeared the colors using matted collage medium.

It was a very easy technique and created a great melting candle look. I made sure to leave some white space for my sentiment. I hope you like it!

Store and Display with Deflecto

I love making tags. They are great ways to try out new techniques. I will often refer back to my tags when I am looking for inspiration.

A great way to store and display my tags is to clasp them together using the Deflecto Pear Clips. I can easily sort through my finished tags and refer back to them when creating.

They also work great to attach the Deflecto Flexible Pouches. These flexible pouches, along with the magnetic craft sheet work great for storing my stencils.

Beautiful Memories

I don't typically water color. But I picked up some water coloring paper at a discount store...so now I water color.

This background was very easy to create. First I sprayed some water onto my craft mat. Then with no plan, simply picked up a bit of paint on my paint brush and started brushing. I added water to my brush as needed.

The colors combined beautifully and really  complimented this floral stamp. This will be going in the mail today as a belated birthday card, but hopefully it will be worth the wait!

Deflecto - Gone Fishing!

One of our favorite things to do for a family vacation is to go camping. What better way to capture those memories than with pictures.

I decided to have a little fun with this picture and add a fish hook and two fishes cut out from some scrap book paper.

The 5" x 7" Beveled Frame works for these little additions. It is so easy to take apart and add fun designer paper to match the occasion.

To finish off the frame, I added some black plastic letters that spelled out "Gone Fishing."

Flower Flourish and Alcohol Inks

Hey everyone! It's Monica and I am up on the blog today to share with you three cards I made using alcohol inks and the Flower Flourish stamp

Flower Flourish

One of the things I love about alcohol inks is you will never get the same background twice. They mix so well and are so easy to use. They created the perfect background for this beautiful stamp!

While the cards are very similar and work great in the set, they are each unique in their own way.

The background technique is so easy. All you need is some alcohol inks and a blending tool. A few drops of color along with the blending solution and just dab away.

Have fun!
